Lets look at Energy.
Specifically, let’s start with our bodies.
Our bodies are made of blood, skin and bone and plenty of water. There are organs within the body that each have specific jobs, such as the heart for pumping the blood and the lungs for breathing. The brain pretty much co-coordinates the entre show.
Alongside the blood and bones that we can feel, are energetic systems.
These have been measured by science.
There is nothing ‘new agey’ about this any more. Science has mapped them.
So let’s take a look at the energetic bodies, in what is sometimes referred to as the ‘Aura’.
The aura really means all the energetic bodies surrounding the body.
The energetic bodies can also be referred to as the’ subtle bodies’, but very basically this is how they work; the etheric body connects the physical to the energetic bodies, the mental body stores and transmits our thoughts and mental processes, with the emotional body containing all our emotions, including unresolved issues from the past.
How this works:
Imagine someone special tells you they love you, and you start to feel good.
What actually happens is that the energetic bodies received the vibration of the words first, and like a ripple effect those loving words spread throughout your physical and energetic body, with the result they you feel good on all levels; emotional, physical and spiritual. The emotions and memory of this event are then stored both physically and energetically.
Now reverse this, and someone says something horrible. The same vibrational ripple effect will occur, but instead of feeling good all over and on all levels, you feel terrible.
So when they say ‘sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me!’. Total bollocks. The feelings from words ARE stored both physically and energetically.
When somebody has some form of energy clearing or healing, they are having the stored ‘yuck’ removed from the energetic bodies. This clearing then effects the physical with the ripple effect.
The Chakras refer to energetic stations, from the sacrum up to the top of the head. These are described as wheels or vortexes of energy.
The Chakras, that most of us can’t see, hold the knowledge of who and what we are. These systems interact with the world, rather like antenna. The Chakras relate to specific aspects of our lives. Unsurprisingly the heart Chakra relates to love.
Should the energetic systems become blocked, and slow to move, much in the same way our physical bodies can become blocked or damaged, then it has an affect in our lives.
A closed heart Chakra can mean someone is closed off in relationships and finds trusting others hard.

Still don’t believe me?
To feel your body’s own energy, try this simple exercise:
- Put your hands together in prayer position.
- Now slowly bring them about 5cm apart.
- Then slowly bring them back together again.
- Repeat this until you feel a slight dragging sensation between your hands, almost like your hands are pulling themselves back together.
- You have just experienced the energy that surround you.
It is this energy, or I should say the above energy systems that people are referring to when they talk of energy medicine.
Even those people that talk about the energy of a room, this is what they mean. If a room has had angry people in it, that energy will linger, and your energetic body will sense it and feed that information back to you.
Hence, “you could cut the atmosphere with a knife”.
Some people can feel this much more easily than others, and this might be why there is such scepticism, because if you can’t feel it, and you can’t see it, you probably won’t believe it is there.
However, we are very much energetic beings, and science is gradually agreeing with what many mystics have know for centuries.
It is also this very fact, that mystics have had this knowledge, not science that has made it seem a tad wacko and weird, when in actual fact, energetic bodies are vital and very much part of our daily lives.
